Route 1: "Attendance Tract" Attendance and Completion of all Steps of Board Certification Courses at IEBDAC Accredited Academy/Institute and passing the IEBDAC Certification Exam

Route 2: "Experience Tract" All aspects of the application process, including candidate application, photos, Photo of services provided to clients Before and After, Qualification Certificates and all required documents must be scanned and submitted in electronic PDF format via email or Dropbox to info@iebdac.com

What Does Board Certification Evaluate?

Board certification evaluates six core competencies integral to the delivery of high-quality client care. The competencies were co-developed by IEBDAC and the IEBDAMS. They are an extension of the milestones Aesthetic, Cosmetology, Micropigmentation professionals must meet during training, and they are the basis for continuing certification assessment.

Just like initial board certification, the IEBDAC continuing certification programs are developed by practicing Aesthetic, Cosmetology, Micropigmentation professional according to the standards set through IEBDAC. There are four main components to the continuing certification process. The boards determine the requirements and activities within each component.

PROFESSIONALISM

This component emphasizes the importance of demonstrating moral, ethical, professional, and competent behavior and holding a current Business license.

LIFELONG LEARNING

With a combination of self-assessment, Continuing Professional Education (CPD), and other practice relevant activities, this component helps keep Aesthetic, Cosmetology, Micropigmentation professional on track and learning throughout their career.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment measures the knowledge that sets a board certified practitioner apart from non-certified practitioners with less training and experience. It shows that they are up to date and aware of best practices in their specialty.

IMPROVEMENT

This component helps Aesthetic, Cosmetology, Micropigmentation professional demonstrate that they reflectively look at their practice and identify opportunities to improve care or the process of care delivery.
